I know that the PA 12 is coming out and has some radical changes compared to the 14. I an in the process of looking to purchase a 14, but do now want to commit if a newer version of the 14 is on the horizon. Has anyone heard anything?

Guys at the shop here told me if I wanted a 14 to wait till September. He don't know anymore then the rest of us, but he thinks the new seat and fancy stuff on the 12 will be on the new 14. I walked in planning on leaving with a 14. Sales guy, actually talked me out of it. So I'm just adding turbo fins and those training wheels to my outback so I can stand until then. Either one will work for me, I just bass fish. I'm afraid of sharks. no really, I want to go saltwater fishing in a kayak but I'm freaked out.

All I can say is the new PA 12 costs as much as the current PA 14. If you wait for a new PA 14, I can guarantee you'll be paying a hefty price increase. I can also guarantee that you'll be very happy with the current PA 14. You can tell that from all the folks on this forum who are already loving their PAs. I have been using my 2010 PA for two seasons and I couldn't be happier. The new seat on the PA 12, the steering, and the tranducer recess may be worth the additional money, but you could instead put that price increase into a new fishfinder, rod holders, anchor trolley, PFD, or whatever. Plus, you could proably get your dealer to make a really nice deal on the current year PA by throwing in some money for accessories (apparently, they can't change the price on the boat). I'm just not sure the new features outweigh a great deal on the current model that is proven to be an awesome fishing platform.
