I have seen several threads showing a rear seat placed on the back of the PA; however, i could not recall the specifics. I am interested In rigging something up for my wife to ride and fish on.

I was hoping that you guys could point me in the right direction and give me an idea how much more difficult it is having the addition weight in the back.

My hope is that she enjoys it, but not too much. I want her to get the PA 12. But we will see how she goes.

Thanks again guys

I just throw a folding aluminum framed stadium seat back there for my nine year old. Sometimes I carry a big Igloo cooler and he throws the seat on too. I haven't had any issues with weight and he's 105lbs. Turning isn't quite as responsive but its still very manageable.

My 6 year old rides on the cooler all the time and the only thing is the wind. You sometimes have a little tail push. Other wise I am happy and so is he. He stands up and he caught his 1st bass. He has caught reds and flounder and hammer-heads. but not on the PA. But he never caught anything until today on the PA. :D

I also got a stadium seat from walmart. I store my wheels in my rear scuppers when im on the water and i tie the seat to the wheels. We were in 3 foot roller waves and my wife was having fun. I do suggest that over 100lbs to support the inside of the hull.

I have my 5 and 6 year old boys sit on a life jacket in the back of my outback. They dumped me over about 6 times getting in and out. I just keep the kids on a stringer now. Lol

I use a Hobie seat behind my seat in the PA. My wife uses it as well as the kids, it functions perfectly. It's easy to remove and easy to install. No drawbacks. I've posted pics of this before, if you need additional pics simply email me direct@ [email protected]
It's well worth your effort installing the seat and sharing the fun.
BTW, I also use a motor and heavy duty gel battery; handles the same no sacrifices.

Do you use the motor/battery when you have your passenger on board? If so, I was wondering where you stow the battery.
