So I've been peddling around with a busted rudder cord for about a month. What little time I have I don't want to waste fixing anything. I've been using the ore for navigation. My buddy says to take it to his house for repair, a hobby sort of thing. Not a bad offer, so I do. I get the text message the next day: good news and bad news. Good news is I repaired the rudder. Bad news is you have a hole in your hull. Indeed there it was, the result of obvious strain of standing and sitting. A quick google search on repair options and I'm reminded of the two year warranty on hull. For some crazy reason I kept all my receipts organized. I'm 2 weeks shy of the two year anniversary of my purchase. Long story short, I'm the proud owner of a brand new PA14 with upgraded steering and scupper plugs for the cart. Sure it's my seat and rails. A new hull!! It only set me back $175 for shipping. I love my Hobie. This is a customer for life.
