Just a thought. You could probably add the right width of adhesive back weather stripping around the inside of the lid that would line up with the top edge of the tackle bucket. That would provide somewhat of a seal to keep the water from sloshing or leaking out.

I wouldn't worry about only 5 liters in the hull. But I WOULD be worried about the smell of shrimp inside the hull forever
