PRO ANGLER 2011 & PRO ANGLER 2012.
Anything different between the two?
What changes were made if any? ( PA-14 ) :?:

The only change I'm aware of was the alignment notches in the Mirage Drive well to facilitate putting the Mirage Drive in.

I could buy a 2011 PA14 and save a little money, but without the 2012 ( Alignment Notches) is this a deal breaker? Was this a big problem for the 2011 models? Thanks.

The alignment notches or grooves in the 2012 were added as an improvement. They just made putting the Mirage Drive in easier. The 2011 model still works just fine without those alignment groves from what I understand. Maybe someone with a 2011 PA can elaborate on the subject.

The notches makes it a little more fool proof. Without notches you have to look and see to make sure the drive is level on the lower foot area of the well. (NOTE: Not sure the termology I use would be Hobie terms, but maybe you get the drift of the content.

The bottom line is you could latch down the drive and have it out of the well and cause some damage to the foot area of the well. But you would feel a difference in the performance of the mirage drive right away and wonder what was wrong.
