I rode one this morning at a Travel Country Outdoors Demo just north of Orlando.

It's shorter, lighter, and faster than my PA 14. I could have played in this ALL DAY LONG.
The new PA 12 steers from both sides! That would be very handy fishing.
The new seat is AMAZING! I am truly bummed that I can't get this seat as an upgrade to my yak. It is THAT comfortable.
It has a transducer mount molded underneath. Again, very well done!

It's a hair less stable (I'm being REAL nit picky here... My PA 14 is as stable as an aircraft carrier).

But, overall... AWESOME RIDE!!!

Damn, I want one...

Just got mine and couldn't be happier. Wanted a low maintenance vessel but still wanted some comfort. This boat is sweet. Have only had it out for one brief voyage but am already in love with it. The vantage seating is incredibly comfortable. I can see why it won this award. Very well thought out and designed. Was like a kid at Christmas before it arrived. Bought mine through Austin canoe and kayak and highly recommend them. I live in Ohio and my boat arrived in fine shape all the way from Texas. Very good service and folks. Am able to load it on top of my jeep with no problems thanks to a yakima load assist system. Looking forward to many days on the water. Great boat!!!!

Just got my PA12 last Thursday and I can confirm that it is faster than the PA14.
Went head to head with my brother (who was using a PA14). We matched pedal strokes as best we could and I pulled out ahead of him even though I weigh a good 40 lbs more than him (he weighs in at 160lb at 6'-0").

Handling is nimble on the PA12 but there is some slight instability in the craft when you're in the vantage position. Not a huge problem for me since I mostly fish the flats but if I was taking it out into rougher waters I'd definitely stick to the low position.
