PA 12 for roof rack

We own an outback, and just placed an order on a PA12. (can't wait!) We thought we could put the PA next to the outback on the Yakima, on the cab of the Dodge Ram. The crossbars measure wider than both boats. I hope it works. What do you all think? As you can see, we can't use a trailer.


At the risk of sounding dumb, I need to ask: Why does everyone seem to prefer to carry the boat right side up? If carried upside down doesn't it avoid the possibility of hull distortion?
