Post subject:  One for the Hobie dudes!!

I recently had a friend attempt to air brush some decoration and script on my PA 12. Bottom line is this material will flat out not accept paint! He's a very accomplished artist and has worked with a number of different types of substrates. He even sanded the area to be painted slightly in an effort to help with adhesion. Despite his best efforts, when the tape came off, so did most of his work. My question is how are the hobie emblems applied? They don't appear to be a decal. I don't know what you are free to share in terms of your processes, but any help or advice would be appreciated. Sincere thanks in advance.

I believe the logos are laid inside the mold before the powder is poured in.

Thanks. That makes sense. Just can't figure out how to make this work.

How about getting your friends art scanned and printed as decals??

Get a wrap. I've had one on the front hatch all season and looks like new still.

Post a picture. I have been looking at getting a wrap also. With what I want, it will be about $1,000. Have you seen the wrap they put on the Hero's On Water kayak? Awesome.
