Post subject: | Length of Stake Out Pole? |
I pick up my PA12 tomorrow. I want to buy a Stake Out Pole but am unsure how long it should be. I am in Florida so the lakes are fairly shallow but would the 8' pole be so much better than a 6' pole that it would offset the hassle of storing the 8' pole when not in use? Any opinions based on personal experience? I am soooooooo confused |

I'm using a six foot stick it anchor pin and just runnin it through a scupper hole. I wouldn't want to store anything longer. Now if youre wanting a push pole then the collapsible ones are the way to go. I would get something at least 14ft when extended otherwise it really won't be useful for piling when standing. |

I use a ten foot wood dowel with a PVC t-handle on one end, and sharpen to a point on the other. I use it as a stake out and push pole. With a longer pole you push yourself alittle further by going "hand over hand." I fish inshore so the water depth varies. |

I also just purchased the 8' yak attack Park ad pole. Nice, and it floats! Can't go wrong with Yak Attack! |
