I'm thinking duct tape should hold the carpet till it dries. Also, sounds like this may be a two person job
Will be watching this thread as I am planning the same project this weekend

NP just make sure to read the instructions prior. It's not hard to use, but also not forgiving. |

I'm 50 years old and just had a tonsillectomy. Time off to heal but gotta get things done as well. Priorities.

Success! Sanded down pvc slightly, wiped it clean, applied contact cement. Cut my bunk padding, applied contact cement and let all set 15 minutes. Once time passed, layed carpet on pvc, pressed firmly onto pvc and that's it!!! Very easy to do BUT many thanks to "56kz2slow" for answering the main question for this task!!! |

I scuffed mine with 36grit cleaned with alcohol, and then applied regular carpet glue. It's been holding well for about a year now.
