What length rods can be stored in the horizontal rod tubes on the pro angler 14?

You can store almost any length rod if you keep the rear storage area clear. But I believe the ideal length is 8' or less if you don't want the handle to interfere with rear storage.

I have had a 9' Fly rod in the holder with no problem. Especially with the 2013 design. I use mainly 7'-8' rods and can do it with ease. One of the best kayak rod storage ideas on the market.

I have some 8-1/2' rods that I keep in the storage tubes. The rod guides will get hung-up going in and coming out, especially on spinning rods. I just started using nylon rod protector sleeves, and these help out immensely. See http://vrxfishing.com/ for an example.

I have found that with spinning rods if you put a little pressure on the opposide of the guides as you slide them in it makes it much easier. No damage to the guides at all.
