Does the bubbles from the mirage drive distort the images that are shown on the screen? I ask because a local shop here says it will and to mount the transducer in the hull in front of the mirage drive. P.S. they don't sell Hobies.

I have mine installed with the ready mount. NO ISSUES at all. Works like it is supposed to and much easier to install.

Same here. No issues with bubbles and my Lowrance Elite-4 DSI on my PA 12.
