How many times have you found that your phone is drained because of use on the water? Especially when you use the internet or gps functions on your phone. Think I have found a simple solution to keep your phone charged.

I have installed a Blue Sea Dual USB charger Socket to the PA. It is connected to the same battery that I use for my fishfinder / gps.

What a great Idea... I can't tell you how many times my camera and phone batteries have died. Thanks

I put it to the test today. 8 hours on the water with a low battery. Plugged it in and was able to continue my songfest with Jimmy Buffet, called the wife to let her know we were having reddfish for dinner and text my fishing partner that we should be heading back to the launch.

Jerry, show me where you mounted it. Is it up by the sail mast or on the side?

Just the opposite. Mounted it on the deck wall where the built-in flush rod mount holders are located and where you store your rods. Sorry, no pic at this time. If you need let me know.

Just ordered mine! This is an awesome and inexspensive add on! I'd go as far as to say it could save a yaker's life someday.

That is cool! 8)
I just received my PA14 and decked it out. I put in a stainless steel 12v plug adapter like in your truck (cigarette lighter) for you cell phone. My cell phone charger has a USB plug in it so I can charge my phone and use the USB for what ever at the same time. Plus I can charge my VHF radio when I am out in the ocean if need. I don't want to be out there with out it. My VHF came with the 12v cigarette lighter charger that will plug into it I will post pictures of it soon and the rest of my set up.
I installed a 12v battery in the back hatch with a multiple spliter for up to 10 electronics if I need. I also installed a 360 gph bilge pump and it worked out cool, but took alot of patience  and time more patience then time (1.5 hr)

Thanks for the idea

hello,

I'm new to this forum. I recently purchased a new PA12. Just got a 12V battery and a fish finder along with a bunch of other cool things. Just wondering how to hook up multiple things to the battery at once and where you got this cool USB charger?

Thanks,

Cris
