This is what I am wanting....have it in the garage and ready to go and greatly reduce my launch/load time at the lake.

Yes, we did remove some leaves out of the spring packs. I think we pulled one or two on each side leaving just the main spring and the small locator spring underneath. The trailer is still a little too stiffly sprung in my opinion, but at least the boats don't take the beating they do on most trailers. The trailer doesn't bounce and it does deflect on bumps and humps. Figure the total for both boats and gear comes in at around 400 lbs. So leaving the trailer set up for 1,500 lbs isn't ideal. Luckily, removing the springs is an easy task.

I really like torsion sprung axles, as they give you an independent suspension side to side. But you can't reduce the carrying capacity of such an axle. It is what it is. So if you go looking for one of these trailers, get the leaf spring model. At least you can adjust that one down to a more appropriate carrying capacity. Plus, it'll generally be less money.

Here is my version. I mostly use the single, but when I need to carry another yak I attach the removable bars.

That's what I'm looking to get. How are your removeable bars attached to the trailer and what are they made of. I like the idea of a double side by side trailer but storing a stacked trailer would be so much easier!

Aluminum channel tubing I had welded together.
