Here is a less expensive way to mount your transducer inside the scupper hole behind the seat.

Does not hang low, fits nice and snug, on the water test coming soon...

You're Welcome

Thanks guys! When I first saw the Lowrance scupper mount kit, I've seen something very familiar about the nylon rod they used. With my background for building Hotrods, I had some just laying around in the garage. lol I turned a $40+ scupper mount kit next to nothing.

I transport my PA on a trailer with 3" PVC tubes. will this type of scupper mounting interfere with the loading and unloading of the boat on the tubes? great idea on the nylon rods. I assume these are found at any automotive store.
thanks for sharing.

Hi Jeff. Yea it will interfere with PVC tubes. The transducer is exactly where the tubes will be if you load or unload your kayak. I would use a different method of transporting your kayak. I use a truck bed extender and don't have a trailer. Yes you can find them at any automotive store under $10.
Thanks
