Post subject:  Trailering/Storing my 2013 PA14

Hey all, now that I am out of the army and have more time to fish I finally was able to get a PA14, and after loading it and unloading it from my roof rack, i immediately knew that that would not be a option for me. I purchased a trailer (Portage Pal T-2000) used for a good amount. I plan to leave the boat fully rigged on the trailer ready to be fished.

My question is that it has Saddles already on the trailer. Will these work with the PA or cause hull DMG.

If they wont work, what is the best method of supporting the boat for trailering/storing?

Thnx so much.

It depends on what kind of saddles it has as well as where and how much they are contacting the bottom of the hull. Can you up load a picture?

Agree that you should post pictures. Some racks are not wide enough to eliminate indentations in the hull. Me? I prefer the PVC pipe method.

Do a search and you'll find where several of us have posted with lots of photos how to use 3 or 4 inch PVC pipe for bunks to trailer a PA. If you have trouble finding one, let me know and I'll find mine. In fact, search for one under my name and you'll find it. It is one of the first posts I've made here on Hobie's site.
