Papaya because I want to be seen by other boaters or the coasties if I need a rescue.

Dune, partly because that's what I really wanted, and partly because that's what the discounted prior-year demo model was!

I wanted it because of two things: I think it's more visible to power boaters but less visible to fish looking up at the sky.

Brown, because that's all they had.

Would have preferred the new olive had it been available. Easier on the eyes and since I'm not in the ocean or very large lakes, visibility isn't quite as important to me.

The real question should be " Why Hobie PA's only come in 3 colors?"

I ended up getting a Dune PA 12 yesterday. I really liked the "textured" colors.

Dune - was the last 2012 14 they had. I think I prefer the Olive though for looks. I am thinking the Dune will hold up better with sun fade though. I just picked up a used yr 2000 Hobie Mirage Classic. It is similar to Dune in color and it still looks good 13 years later. They guy had a 2nd one, same year and it was yellow and the fading was obvious.

My 2012 PA-14 is dune, I initially wanted the yellow but that color was backordered with a 4 week wait when I went in to buy. The dune was available so I took it. No regrets, I think the dune will be better over the long haul. I think a good question was asked above as to why more colors are not available in the PA line, there is a blue and red available in the other lines, my Outback was red. I probably would have stayed with RED if it was available.

Dune. I like the contrast with the black accessories. Stays cooler too.
