Thank you for all the replies guys. Really helpful. The great part is I have a little time. I don't have to make any snap decisions on how to do it with my car. I was just looking to see what options I would have since it would greatly free me up to using my yak on days when hubby wasn't up to it, or wasn't home. My work schedule is extremely flexible so I often can run out on nice days when the mood strikes to local lakes and have some fun just by myself, otherwise I'd be limited to 2, sometimes 3 times a month on weekends.

Hubby's truck is trailer ready, we've towed our big boat with it many times, I just thought if there were an "easy" way to put the two 14s in the bed it would be a little better for longer distance trips, how sturdy are the typical kayak trailers? Most of our day trips will be to water fairly close to home (inside 30 minutes) but some of them are over an hour away, and once a year we like to go on vacation to spots on the coast or big lakes down south so those would be pretty long distance trips.
