Hey guys! New owner of PA 14, and I am having trouble finding an answer to my question. As I look around my new PA 14, I see there are stainless screws that are screwed into the deck in sets of 2. There are two sets in the back, then along the chair, and along the sides... my guess is they are for pad eye installations, but I'm really just guessing here. Can anyone tell me what these are?

Likely what you are looking at are mounting hardware for internal turning blocks. Would be for steering and up down control lines.

Thank you for the info!

If I had one complaint about my new Hobie, it would be that they pretty much gloss over the details of what things are on the kayak literature. Even the supplied videos only touch briefly on certain aspects of each model before moving on.
I looked at the parts list on the Hobie website (which is a PA 12 - 2012 edition); they list parts, but don't really specify with a diagram of what those parts belong to. The best example I can give is a parts blow-up for fishing reels. Each part has a number with a line to the actual part. I'd love to see Hobie make that easily available.

That being said... I LOVE this thing! You guys did a fantastic job with the design. I just stop and look at it every time I walk through the garage! :D

If you are referring to the ones on the bow and stern they are for an anchor trolly.

Your dealer should have gone over everything with you. They should have filled out a mirage series check list with you. It would be located in your owners packet.
