I want to photograph fish alongside a 24-30" measuring stick and then release. The Hawg Troughs seem like overkill due to onboard storage requirements. The adhesive measure on the side rail of my PA14 does not permit a photo since it takes 2 hands to hold any decent sized fish there. Anybody figure out how / where to mount an adhesive measuring strip for in-cockpit photographing of your catch prior to release? Not sure if the rough surface of the inner hull would permit this, but just asking. I am thinking of cutting something like this to size:
