How do you folks load your PA on the cart???
Do you use a mat as to not scratch up the PA??

Turn it on the side and stab the cart into the scupper holes... Make sure to get the correct set as the back set is closer together and does not fit as well... i do not use a mat. The yak is tuff and I do not worry about the scratches... Just me...

I used an old blanket at first. Now that I have my trailer I can just slide it back a little then hook the cart up before it comes off the trailer. Then when I'm at the water I just unhook the pin and pick up on the front and let it fall out.

So what is the easiest way to put the PA onto the cart when getting to the beach after a long day on the water. I find it not possible to turn mine on it's side to put the cart on because of the rod holders, FishFinder, cooler, etc. etc or things will fall out. I've had help putting the cart on everytime I've taken the yak out but I want to start doing it on my own especially if I decide to go out by myself without a friend. Or if I decide to go in earlier then my group. Can anyone give me some advice?

While the bow is still on the top of the truck. I but the cart on and strap it. This way i dont have to roll it on its side.

Depending on what cart you have. I put mine on in the water when i get to shore.

Two problems come to mind watching that video.

First is that rod/kayak lift would have to be longer with the larger new wheels. Try to lift that kayak higher than he just did, obviuosly it's all based on your overall height and strength.

Second, one word. Sand. That pipe will dig into the sand in a heart beat.

I place my life jacket down, rods go on top of it. Cooler or any other bags are strapped in place and don't fall out. Couple loose items may fall out but very easy to look around and pick up. Kayak is righted, rods and any loose item is put back in place.

I don't use a mat or rug to roll kayak onto. It's a kayak a few minor scratches is no big deal. If your worried about a scratch then you'd better not get blood on it either. This is not a luxury vehicle its a kayak.

Good points, especially about the PVC sinking into the sand. A couple of end caps slipped on (not glued) would prevent this. I'm going to try it.....without the rod holders....don't need them. I am 6' 2" so I don't think the lift height will be an issue....at least for me. Thanks for the input.

Rh, actually better would be a T section. The T would not sink and be easy to remove than just a cap.

A case for fishing with friends...you can get them to put the cart underneath while you lift the PA! :D
