newbe to the forum. Howdey, Just bought two pa 14s thats the good part. Trying to figure out the best way to haul them is another. I want to haul them on top my truck. Any good ideas what would be the best way to go? Upside down i would think is best with the hot weather we have around here an long way to go. Any great ideas? thanks

I only have 1 PA14 and I hated roof topping it as it's so heavy and then when you start to add accessories keeping it upside down isn't an option anymore. I ended up going onto craigslist and bought a used trailex trailer for less than half what it costs retail. My advice would be buy a trailer whether it's homemade or pre-built. It will save you so much aggravation.

Trailer.

I would not put a PA-14 on top of anything, as stated above it's heavy, not to mention awkward, and with accessories it's much easier to just put it on a trailer. Probably won't cost you any more for a trailer (used) than installing rack system and PVC on your truck. You only need to drop one of them once while trying to get it up on top of a vehicle to do serious damage to the kayak or yourself. Mine will carry two PA-14 with the second tier, which I made to be removable for the times I only transport the one kayak.
