I have been stocking up for greenies and have now maxed out my original crate and original cooler so I decided to upgrade. I figure this cooler can be used as dry storage, fish storage, lunch storage, my daughter's seat for when she joins me and when needed only a couple suction cups away from being a live well(using Marine Metals Super Saver Aeration Livewell Kit). Image
I know the weight as a live well may be too much but then again I have already reduced pounds by not starting with a yeti, brute or Engel... Image

I like that although this cooler is massive it leaves room for my cart with out having to move things all around.

I am still deciding on whether to add rod holders to it since they will be a bit of a reach. Is anyone else using anything this large?(70 qts) who has used the livewell kit?

I also use a cooler and I'm really happy with it. I also just bought the whale gusher urchin so I can also use it as a livewell. Image

I have to ask: whyinhell do you carry the cart along while afloat? I leave mine in the truck.

I will be carrying my cart while afloat, just in case I need to carry the yak somewhere away from the truck, or if the launch location isn't where my truck can get to. For instance if I set off somewhere, and something happens on the water that is in the way of me getting back to the launch via water, I can pull it back to the truck on land. Most of my yakking will be done in the sound, where they do military drills all the time. I could easily see them shutting off access to the pass for something, and me having to go a long way walking.

The cart doesn't add a lot of weight, nor does it take up a lot of room.

I don't take it out on every trip but if I expect portage I take it along.

Had great results with the larger cooler. I now have the option to take every lure I own so if one species doesn't cooperate I can move on and try for something else. I am able to stand my Plano boxes on their sides to maximize the amount of boxes I take and can reach them with no problem. I used to keep everything in my front hatch which caused the front of my kayak to sit deeper causing my steering to struggle. Issues corrected and no more having to dig around to find what I need.
