Seriously considering a PA 12 too fish some of the back bays in South Texas, and where I fish most of the time it will be perfect. What I was curious about was if I remove the Mirage drive and lift the rudder, how will a PA fair in 6" or so of water as a poling platform? For anyone who is familiar, I am specifically talking about the Lighthouse Lakes area near Port Aransas, TX. Thanks!

Shouldn't be any problem. Much depends on how heavy you are and how much gear you carry. I have found that when fishing the grass flats around here I can fold the Mirage Drive up against the hull and still be able to pole.

Good to hear! I am about 150 pounds soaking wet with boots on, and I don't take a ton of gear with me, usually anyway. thanks for the feedback. Now to decide on which color...yellow or dune, hmmmm...:)

I have a new pa 14 and I fished grand isle, la this past weekend and had no problem poling in 6" of water. I was quite surprised how easily I could pole around

I was talking to Red fish Chuck about polling my pa 12 in the wind, the rear end wants to come around. He pointed out that if you fold the seat up and stand where the seat is it tracks better. I tried it it works great. I spend most of my time in skinny water this works great.

I just got back from Lighthouse Lakes last weekend. My PA handles great poling and peddling around. I was more worried of scraping it up on the oyster reefs. Im over 280#, good think the tide was up a little.
