Just a word about the bearings, they are from China, I had to replace the bearings and seals and the
Cost was as much as I paid for the whole trailer. I did the work myself. The trailer was aprox 3 yrs. old, never in the water, low milage. Works fine since now

Just asking, because mine have been doing fine - did you clean them to get the shipping grease out of them and repack with (I used marine grade) grease before installing? It's stated in the assembly instructions to do that. The grease that they have in them before installation is only for shipping and storage purposes and not for actual use over the road. I have a spare set, but so far so good and I do dunk mine during launch & loading.

I also added a set of bearing buddies. odd size. a must have if the trailer goes in and out of the water.

I think he bought it used and that's why a new set of bearings ($40?) cost "as much" as the trailer :)

All 3 HF trailers I have in my household, I bought new and packed full of grease when assembling: massaging grease into the bearings AND pumping grease through the zerk fittings till no more would go in. Never a single problem.

Never had a problem with our HF trailer. But I never get the hubs wet either.
