Well I found that the front hatch liner was way to thin to take a short drive from the lake to home with a ancor in it . I got home and found that my one week old first time on the water 2014 pa 14 had been damaged . THere was now a new hole in the front line emailed hobie there responce was file a clame and we will send one in three five weeks . I could have bought one but I think it looks dam good in line x . It is strong as nails and only cost a hundred dollar. For all you out there that think it will peal off not with the new line x and plastic primer . I hope you like it and I hope hobie may take notice that for three grand they could step up there game just a little bit .

On a nother not I did call yeti cooler to see if they would work on a cooler that would fit in this space if you guy want the same thing contact them here is his info

Nice fix! Yeah... a 3-4 pound steel galvanized anchor bouncing around would not be good.

I carry a lot of gear including my anchor in my front hatch. I have had it just under a year without issue...

I always put a towel on the bottom of the hatch liner. Keeps stuff from bouncing around.

I have no earthly idea what you're saying. Did you make a new liner out of some other material, spray something on/in the old one - or what?

That is a Hobie part... cracked. He spray coated inside and out with Truck Bed Liner material "Line-X" which is tough as nails.

mmiller is right on . I just had the hatch line that was provided with the pa and had it line x. I found the hatch line to be very thin in the lower corner and after towing my kayak from the lake my anchor wore a hole in it . Had to do something. I think it looks better in black it gose well with the handles and floor pads ect...

You paid $100 American dollars to have that thing spray coated with line x? I am in the wrong business. I need to open me up a line x spray shop. Jeez...
