Personally, I wouldn't bother. Couple reasons - price (way too expensive) and I don't like the cord for supporting the back and seat adjustments, that's just something that will break at the most inopportune time. If I were to change seats I would swap out for a regular boat style seat. It would be easy enough to install a slide and base and have a very comfortable (although heavier) and removable seat for about 1/3 the price of the Hobie chair. The PA deck was redesigned for the new chair so it may not fit properly in an older PA or have the appropriate deck support.
