Bump I too would be interested in a rear mounted motor that didn't cost as much as the boat! I have been pondering using the rear handle mounting socket cap screws to rig one up. Any experience and know how on this would be appreciated. |

My Hobie motor mount that fits in the rod tube will work on a PA, but if the original poster here is looking for a stern mounted PA motor, it's an easy thing to just remove the rear handle and replace it with a "transom" made from a sheet of thick cutting board or even lumber (seal/paint it) and hang the motor on that. Of course from there you're going to have to get the controls up to your seat, but there have been plenty of threads here on the forum on various ways to do that. |

I missed the rear motor part... Both designs seem practical. I like the non permanent concept of the pvc for tourneys |
