I've been using my new PA14 for about a month now and I am finding that my 8' push pole is too short for push poling in the 6-12" waters of the Mosquito Lagoon flats. I can't paddle there as it makes way too much noise trying to move this barge. Has anyone had any success with a longer push pole/stake out pole? |

You can pedal in water that deep... short strokes. One foot forward to half way back sort of thing? |

An 8' pole is too short for any kind of standup poling, I'd think. When I lived there, I used a 15' push pole for my little 12' duck boat and found it just about right for the Lagoon shallows. |

I use the 8' park n' pole from Yakattack in Charlotte Harbor and the flats of Lemon Bay with no trouble at all. |

I use the Super-Stick 6-12' telescoping push pole in the Lagoon and on the NMZ…love it http://www.thesuperstick.com/superstick6-12.html |
