If you are concerned with tongue weight for a kayak trailer carrying one or two kayaks don't be. When towing a 1500 to 5,000 lb boat or camper it is very important to avoid swaying, tow vehicle suspension issues, not to mention your back muscles. Just make sure you don't have any negative tongue weight where the trailer tongue will go up in the air unless you force it down to place it on the hitch and make sure your vehicle can tow the total weight of the vehicle without voiding the warranty. Just my two cents.
