Haha, that is more than likely. I would always carry the other half of the Hobie paddle in case. I just think that the PVC would flex too much to allow a powerful stroke......

I saw someone using a Hala Butterknife double-bladed SUP paddle while standing on his Hobie PA on a lake and it looked great.
It's a hybrid paddle that has a T-grip that comes right out from the face of one of the blades. The T-grip lines up perfectly with the shaft for efficient paddling. It's adjustable in length although not quite long enough for the wide PA.
I believe it's made in Colorado. Retail was around $300.
