Guys, looking for suggestions about a good way / location to mount my 8' Park-n-Pole on my PA14. I have the clips coming from Yak Attack, but not sure how or where to mount. I will want it within reach yet out of the way. To that end, is the paddle in the way of a cooler behind the seat (going to make a livewell) when it's in the clip?

I riveted my clips to the side handle. It holds great, not in the way of rod holders and easily reached and stowed but due to the curvature of the PA the ends are about 6-8 inches from the gunnel so you have to be mindful when maneuvering in close quarters to objects.

Look at, " An easy way to hold the paddle and Stake-Out Pole in my ProAngler", from Nov 2013.

I have mine shock cord tied to the outside of the carry handle and it works fine. I purchased the clips but didn't find a place to install them that I though I'd be happy with. I do like MrGreen's setup and I may try that. Can you post a few pictures MrGreen?

I don't have any pictures showing a wider point of view but you can see where I mounted it in this picture

I keep it simple. I just stow the end in the top or second rod holder opening and lay the handle end of the park n pole inside of the fixed handles on the PA and atop the riser in front of the rear tankwell. Simple.

I put mine in the top horizontal rod holder on my left side. 2012 PA14, is rest just to the left of my steering handle. Hope I'm talking about the same thing.

I too have kept it simple....

I carry my YakAttack Park-n-Pole on the right side (same side as anchor trolley). I just lay it on the gunnels, inside of the side handle. I replaced the forward lower screw that is used to mount the side mesh frame and installed a Bungee Button. When I feel the need to secure the P-n-P, I just take the bungee that is on the side handle and attach to the bungee button.

On my first PA12, I used STS material for sound deadening, but didn't bother with it on the current boat.
