Great post, found most info I need here, particularly Tom's battery recommendation - looks like the 'crossbar' type trolling motor mount is best if you want to retain the 'tilt' option, otherwise I was going to go with Tom's simple mount. Can anyone point me to the best 'crossbar' mod you have seen, best meaning, simple, slick, sturdy, affordable, etc....
