While cleaning the 2012 PA14 today I found a crack(heart broken). Dropped it off at the local dealer. Researching here and other places I have noticed if you are going to have an issues - then this is the area it will happen. Dealer hinted it would be an easy repair, however I am clearly concerned about reliability over time. I asked the dealer to contact Hobie. My warranty expires in Dec 2014.
Any advice or concerns with repair vs replace?

Looks easy to get to. I have welded 2 similar cracks ( in different places) in older yaks and both are holding after 2 years.

IMO, replace it if its still under warranty. why risk having problems with a repair later down the road on a boat that is no longer under warranty.

I'm new to the forum and impressed with my 2014 PA-14 but if I spent all that money and the boat cracked in such a short time I would want it replaced.
