No rust issues yet, only had for a few months though. Very easy to mount on the Vantage seat and you can quickly and easily achieve multiple angles for shade. Again, so far I love it.

Love to see a photo and a update when you get it. Does it interfere with fishing? Thanks

Let me resurrect this topic.
Tested the 20 dollar umbrella and not effective under light wind. You get what you pay for.
I'm interested in this mantis and trying to figure out the right model and best mounting option for 2016 PA Dune.
And also wanted to know others color choice.

Currently thinking about getting the blue and rail mount. I saw one this morning in an outback mounted behind vantage seat in a bolted cross bar.

Nap - thinking the same thing - rail mount with either the Junior or the Shortie model - seems like the Junior model would be the way to go

Hi Matt - what would you think of this for mounting on the Vantage seat, would pair with the mantis junior pro.

Thanks, Ryan

The Mantis is a bit heavy, but that could work. I would be cautious in any breeze. better if mounted to the deck.

Does the kayak mount fit well in the PA 14'? The Pro-Techt website seems to be lukewarm with the kayak mount for the PA.

I think you could make the kayak mount work. There is a flat just aft of the seat. You might have to drill a narrower mounting hole pattern. Discard the extendable parts.

They also have a could of other mounts that I think would work on a Pro Angler...
