I see people use a dremel tool to cut away the plastic tabs, I don't have one and they cost ateast $60 any other way to remove the tabs to fit the dragonfly transducer

I have been researching the DF as well. I have a Low elite4 dsi and about a month of owning it the screen got a weird glare to it like i had tried to put my finger through the LCD screen. Now i have been reading about other things and how Lowerance CS is lacking both here and on another site. So now i am considering the DF. I was thinking about the 6 version. I will check and ask the people at Austin Canoe and Kayak what there opinion is when I go check out a new PA14. I will check back here to see if anyone else has an opinion.

I can say I went from the Lowrance HDI 5 to the new Raymarine Dragonfly 5" so happy I did and so not seeing me ever going back! The screen is nicer easy to see I believe it uses less battery (seems to last longer) I live the twist lock to connect. Its chirp is outstanding.
