I have the retractable tongue and like it a lot. It is very well made and slides very easily.
The trailer is very light and galvanized.
Someone else put it together for me (bought it used).
Aside from the things I don't like everything was done well.

The things I don't like about the trailer:
-those cross bars are useless at that height for the PA, I took them off.
-The deluxe version has fancy wheels when I would have rather had LED lights and a kickstand for the tongue. Who needs fancy wheels?
-the new price is REALLY high in Canada

I suspect your trailer is set up by now, but your crossbars are mounted on top of the frame members. They can be slung under the frame with the same brackets. it will lower your yak about 6".
