I found the CB antenna spring mounts locally...used for $6 each.....you might check around where you live as old CB stuff is still out there. I think you can still buy them from Radio Shack or on line.

The couplers were sourced locally at our agriculture pipe and water equipment supplier.....$11 each.
The PVC bunks are 7' 3" to the 11 degree coupler and the extension is 40" long.

I tinkered with the position of my axle since the tongue weight was around 112 pounds once my spare tire, winch mounted on the stand and front, 3rd wheel was in place and of course the PA-14 with the front storage loaded with anchor, down rigger, 4 pound weight, etc, etc. .....so I relocated the axle forward.....it's now 58" from the end of the center frame member....
The tongue weight went from 112 pounds to 78 pounds and that weight trails really well behind my Subaru Outback and does not exceed the 100 pound rating of the hitch....
Good luck!

Visit any big box hardware store. Lowes and HD both carry those posts near the mailboxes. They are intended as driveway markers and are only $1.99 each. I drilled a couple of 3/8" holes in the back corners of my frame and they work great. the top is reflective also.

I bought these Attwood LED guide poles for my SportsRig Micro Trailer. I don't back to waters edge, so backing isn't that big a deal, but they make a bit of a difference for that and add additional lighting to protect the rear.

For a "backing aid", you could get a Bell 6' fluorescent orange bike flag (Walmart) to temporarily attach to trailer.

What I do is backup in a curve, so the wheel on my trailer stays in view of my side mirror. Works every time once you get the hang of it.

Thanks! I was actually going to PM you about those. I like them because they're not big and bulky but still visible. Did you buy your parts locally or online?

Also, how long are your PVC bunks before the 11 degree downturn? How long is that extension?
Just got my PVC today and couldn't find 11 degree couplers. Had to order them online. I've got a few days to get it all together.

Thanks!

I have to agree with the Dr. my uprights are big and bulky but they are a wonderful help on windy days guiding the kayak back onto the trailer. I'm always surprised at how little wind it takes to move the PA sideways when loading. We old guys need all the help we can get. The site is a great sourse of helpful information.
