Went out yesterday to fish a couple hours and ended up with an inshore slam. My first on a Kayak

Anyways, until I can save up to buy a Power Pole Micro, where does everyone mount their fiberglass Stick-It or similar pole? I'm currently laying it on top of the paddle and putting the tip end in the port side rod holder. This makes too much noise deploying in a hurry while trying to get it in one of the trolly rings. Also makes getting the paddle out noisy.

Would be awesome to use a scupper hole if I could figure out a way to keep it vertical when not deployed so I can just release it quickly and quietly.
Anyways, I will give it a shot tomorrow.

I have the Power Pole Micro but normally take my Yakattack ParkNPole as well. I move both of the H-Rail rod racks to the same side and mount in horizontal position and lay it there. The foam padding makes for a quiet retrieval. Not sure I would use the scupper but another option is too use a Zooka Tube rod holder on ram ball in the vertical position. You could probably rig it as well to keep it suspended.

First, congratulations on a GREAT few hours of fishing!

I am really happy with my paddle holder deployed on H-rail YakAttack mighty mounts with their Roto-grip paddle holders. Hold my Park-n-pole just as well as my paddle. I also just received my new Accent Pro Transformer convertible paddle. Have not had it on the water yet, but the quality looks great, and it should in a couple of configurations be able to replace my current paddle and stake out pole with one unit and work great while standing as well. Plus the other segments all fit in a carrying bag which fits easily in the bow hatch. I will have the stake on one end, and the SUP paddle blade on the other.

Here is a photo of what I did with the H-rail mighty mounts for my paddle holder with my Hobie paddle... It is very quite, secure, out of the way, and easily accessible.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I really like the rear grab handle you put on the back. Would also be great to add a trolling line or tie a bait bucket to. Where did you get those?
