Lowrance HDS 7 Install question

I picked up a HDS Gen 3 7 with structure scan for my PA14. There were two boxes in the bundle. One had the LSS-2 structurescan transducer and the other had the unit and a smaller transducer. Do I need to mount both transducers? There is a spot on the unit for each to plug in. One labeled sonar and the other labeled structure with each having unique plug style. Thanks.

Yes you will need to use both transducers. The smaller one does traditional sonar and the LSS-2 side and down scan. You could purchase the TotalScan transducer, which would do everything with just one transducer.
