Does anyone have any opinions on Hobie's PA rudder upgrade versus the Boonedox? I am using a trailer.

Thanks

You did not mention the year of the PA, but I have a 2013 PA14 and I changed over to the sailing rudder and it was a major improvement.

The reason for using the sailing rudder was to improve tracking while down rig trolling. My 2013 PA was designed/made prior to Hobie adding the tracking skeg.

I use a Hobie Trailex trailer to carry, launch and store my PA14.
Just make sure the rudder is retracted until loaded on the trailer. Once safely on the trailer, I release the rudder to keep pressure off the internal pulleys.
