I am considering buying a PA but have heard that both the PA 12 and 14 are affected by the wind. I am concerned about this because I have previously owned a 10 ft Native Watercraft which would spin around whenever there was the slighest breeze. This was extremely annoying and as far as I was conerned made it virtually unfishable. I later got 13 ft Hobie Revolution and it didn't have any suggestion of the problem. I have concluded that the issue relates to the length of the kayak in relation to the width. A short wide kayak will spin but a long narrow one won't. So I'm wondering if the issue affects the PA, either the PA 12 or 14 and is one length more affected than the other?

I think you answered your question with the Revolution-13....a PA-14is quite stable if you don't have a bunch of stuff stacked up to act like a sail.
The PA-14 has a 600 pound capacity and some guys load them up like Noah's ark, so it would be expected a good wind could have some effect on the craft.

Personally, the PA 12 and 14 can be a bit influenced by the breeze, but it's not a deal-breaker. The PA 14 tends to handle it slightly better due to its longer length. It might not be as nimble as your Hobie Revolution, but it's definitely more manageable than a short, wide kayak.
