Hello,

I have a brand new PA14, when installing the seat I noticed that the kickstand doesn’t automatically pop all the way up to catch the seat. I have determined that the pull cord is too tight with a lot of tension, if I barley pull
It the kickstand moves…

Is there any simple fix to this or should I take it to the dealer? How hard is it to fish a new rope through to replace?

I can see the knots but it doesn’t look like there is any extra rope to spare.

Given it is brand new, I recommend not taking any action to fix yourself. Take it to a Hobie dealer for warranty service. This also assures the issue is documented if you have more problems later.

Check for line routing issues. Possibly something in the hull has moved and restricted the line.

Is there a internal schematic that shows proper route?

Is there a schematic for the interior routing that includes the kickstand line?

There is no diagram that I have. Looking inside the boat using a phone camera while actuating the control could help identify something that has tangled or blocked the line. If not simple... head to your dealer.
