I'll be moving from Shreveport, LA, to Knoxville, TN, in late spring/early summer 2012. I've got a H20 for racing and H14 for fun (soon to be a class racer). However, I've not heard of any 20's raced in Division 9. I enjoy one-design, if I can find it, much more that Portsmouth. Sailing a 20 against a bunch of spin boats on a handicap basis isn't what I want to do. Are there any regattas in Div 9 that reliably get a fleet of H20s? I'd appreciate some H20 contacts in the division if you've got them. I am considering transitioning to a H16 if that's what it takes to find one-design catamaran racing. If you guys know any cat sailors, Hobies particularly, in the Knoxville/East Tennessee area, I would appreciate the contacts. I've been to the EMSA site and that looks like a good start, but I'd like to find some sailors closer to home on the west side of the mountains. Concord Yacht Club on Fort Louden Lake may have some potential. Anyone know anything about them? I look forward to sailing with Div 9. I think y'all will enjoy sailing with me too. I'm pretty easy to beat, but definately improving! |

start with ESMA, there is contacts all over on that site. I know there is a few H20's in Atlanta. |
