Matt,
I honestly believe Hobie should buy the copyright of that stunning video from Slaughter, as it is far and away the most compelling "lifestyle" video I have ever seen, and will draw customers to Hobie Islands like a magnet. Incredibly simple, with no gimmicks, even providing handy advice on meals, it has it all.

Gee Tony, dunno what to say. Thanks and really glad you enjoyed it.
My video isn't a patch on this one though...

( I do agree though that Hobie should buy the copyright for either megabucks or an i-Comfort seat pad )

8) I agree , Slaughter's video makes me want to move down under ! 8)
Good job !!
I live In So. Cal. so I know that Catalina Island is approx. 60 miles from Oceanside harbor. That's quite a ride over and back plus crossing major shipping lanes for the Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors. You can see why they had a large entourage in case something went wrong.
Definitely not for beginners or novices.

Slaughter, I disagree. The reason your video "slaughters" that one (sorry!) is because yours is such a simple concept - one man, a Hobie Island, a weekend with nature, along with super-simple food preparation and cooking. The Catalina video is by comparison, all over the place. You are being way too modest! :)

I've been showing Slaughter's video at work. Been a big hit with everyone so far.

Hate to admit it but I'm 53 and I no longer consider myself part of the "testosterone" crowd. I rather think of myself as the "Grey Poupon" crowd. For me the video screams class and luxury while experiencing the great outdoors. The Hobie "testosterone" video was one of the reasons I bought my TI, but had I seen Slaughter's "Grey Poupon" video my decision may have been quicker!

Ok Slaughter, now where is the link to your hammock set up!

I don't know - there is something about this one that really appeals to me. Particularly when you see some of the Islands surfing down some pretty serious swells.

But boy do they need Sprayskirts, unless that was the girl in the front seat of the TI's official title! :)
