This isn't entirely a sailing video, but it's a short film I threw together with a hand-held GoPro (well, had a chest strap for sailing) that covers some favorite moments on the island and water.

Very nice video, very nice. I believe you are using an AI and hardly any water is coming over the bow. I don't understand these tandem folks talking about a steady stream of water coming over the bow??

Thanks! It was definitely a wet ride that day, but mostly because I was smashing into swell after swell at a close reach into the current. Otherwise, it's not bad at all. Maybe it gets worse if you're loaded down with more than a 170lb guy.

Of course, you could get rid of most of those splashes by installing KayakingBob's spray skirts or building your own miniskirts http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=7276&start=285 There are some comments about my miniskirts at http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=7276&start=435 and, most recently, at http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=7276&start=480

Bet you had a great time videoing this trip. It shows. Great stuff bicx. I love seeing clips from people showing off “their patch”.

Pardon my ignorance but where is Jekyll Island and how big is it ?

Thanks Slaughter! Jekyll Island is off the coast of Georgia on the U.S. east coast. It's one of the barrier islands where the super-rich used to play in the 30's. Now it's a state park with only limited construction allowed (30% of the island, I believe). It's about 7 miles long.
