Chas,

No, I didn't install the windows. There are things on my boat that I'm prepared to do to myself and there are things I leave to the professionals. Things that are structual and have to handle a lot of stress I leave to the pros until I'm relatively sure that I can complete the job successfully.

I took my sails to the same guy at "North Sails" in Long Beach, California that I had do the hiking straps and the tramp bags on my tramp. He did a really great job on both and was very reasonable. I asked him to cut the largest window allowed that would not interfere with it's basic sail form. Know that I haven't noticed any difference in the performance of the sails.

I would have Pro do the windows. UNLESS you really no what you are doing. There are a lot of loads on the sails and if not reinforced right your sails might be toast the first time you sheet in.
