How do you perform a smooth tack with a 4 foot tiller extension attached to the tiller? Seems I have to throw out the tiller so that I can bring it around the block and then grab it once the tack has completed.

Do you guy's use the tiller tube for this?

I'm cutting my teeth on my new to me 16 as well as my new to me Cal 25!

TIA, Flyboy

Stay on the old windward/new leeward side of the boat until the tack is completed and then pass the tiller extension around after that. :)
