Help! Looking for a link to the page held somewhere that has all the hobie sail patterns throughout history. I can't find it.

http://www.cat44.com/ is a good place for H16 sails. www.tehbeachcats.com has a page with all the Hobies from the past, but I can never find it when I look for it, but it use to be there, post a pic of what you want I am sure someone knows what it is. Chris, I asked this same question not too long ago, and it is confirmed "the page" no longer exists on thebeachcats. I think I like you, in one of those half drunken, late night, arguments would like to be able to whip out that color copy from my wallet, slap it down on the table and say "OK, time to pay off our bet". Brad, Thanks for the link to cat44, good to identify our friend Quinns' boat as "Goldfinger". I had no clue what to call it. There are a few mid 80's patterns missing, such as "Blue Hawaii". Time to start digging for old brochures to scan. |

I have what is called 'prism' but instead of the white sail with the rainbow in the middle, the sail is blue. Is it called the same thing?? 1988 sails I am almost sure. Oh yea, when did Coleman stop making the 16? |

Tony Wilson, a 1969 buyer of one of the original Hobie 14s, purchased the Coast Catamaran Division from Coleman Industries in January 1989, changing the name back to its roots of the Hobie Cat Company. from a bio of Hobie Alter And, before the question is asked, Mr. Alter sold to Coleman in 1976 for $3.5M |

If you have the prism in the middle and the top part of the sail is light blue and the bottom is dark blue, that is called "Blue Hawaii". I don't know what the pattern is if the blue is the same color on the top and bottom. Sorry, but that is the best I can do.. |

There IS a SC 17 on the lake, but no 20 and no extra daggerboards. Do you have a 6 batten 14 sail? |

That I have--plus some new jibs. Teh main I have probably isn't as good as the one you got at the NAs last year, but it is a good sail. Solid white. I think I need to have a few batten pockets repaired and I wanted to add material to the pockets where it rubs on the shrouds. I'm selling one of my 14s pretty soon, so I'll let you know how that turns out. He is going to have his choice of sails, so he might take the 6 batten one. Actually, come to think of it, I think I still have the other one you saw at the NAs.. |

I am considering selling my good 6 batten sail so I can get a new one for next year. It is race worthy, and I think I've only used it about 20 times. I think white sails are fascist, so I added a checker board pattern in the second panel from the top. Pretty 80's looking, but that was what I was going for.. It's going to be expensive.. |

When you get your sail done, you can wear Vans or Vision High Tops instead of water shoes. I got some good stuff to trade for the 6 batten, let me know if you're interested. |

You guys are teh funny. White sails aren't fascist - they're cheap (well, relatively so). I'm still waiting for Matt M. to send me two 6's to replace the 5's they erroneously placed on my sail, when they forgot where they were in the sail number sequence. "Dude! There's a guy in VA Beach that wants us to put "420" on his sail!" "Cool, man - let's do it! Now where were we with the sail numbers?" "I dunno - we got a bunch of fives around here - let's use those" "OK" If you've got a prisim sail with the same colors above and below the prism panels, it's most likely a nationals boat - like this:
