I'm thinking about purchasing the Bravo and am interested in getting opinions on the boat. Thanks. |

The Hobie Bravo is a wonderful boat. It is fast yet stable, easy to rig and simple to sail. I have sailed the boat numerous times and can't wait until I get another chance to go. I can be sailing in under 10 min, I've actually done it in 3 off the trailer and in the water! If you want to go for a ride come see me I have a demo boat on a trailer ready to go, or I can have it on the beach awaiting you. Just for an update I sailed the Bravo in the gulf on Thursday and was very please with its performance in the 3-5 swells. It wanted to surf the swells if I had just a little more wind, or if I didn't weight 200, it would have been a hoot. When I got close to shore in the breaking waves it was like a long board. I can now say with confidence that the Bravo is a great lake/bay boat but can still handle a good day in the gulf. I was afraid it being 12 feet long it would want to pitch pole, it never came close to pitch poleing with me.
